Vacancy Details

AIIMS Jodhpur has announced a total of 51 vacancies for the Senior Resident posts. The number of vacancies is provisional and may change as per government rules and institute requirements. Reservation will be applied as per Government of India policy.

Note: EWS posts are not carried forward or considered as backlog vacancy if unfilled. Other category candidates may apply provisionally for EWS posts and will be considered as UR candidates if the EWS seat remains unfilled.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for these Senior Resident posts, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Indian Citizens are eligible to apply.
• Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination by 30th September, 2026, with results declared on or before this date.
• Candidates appearing for exams or interviews whose results are not yet declared may be allowed to appear provisionally. However, if the result is declared after 30th September, 2026, their candidature will be cancelled.
• Candidates working in government institutions must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of the interview. Failure to produce the NOC will lead to disqualification.

Educational Qualification

The required educational qualification for Senior Resident posts varies by department. Candidates must hold one of the following degrees as per the department they are applying for:

• MD/DNB in the concerned specialty
• MS/DNB in the concerned specialty
• MDS in the concerned specialty
• M.Sc. (Human Anatomy) with PhD (for Anatomy)
• M.Sc (Biochemistry) with Ph.D (for Biochemistry)

Age Limit

The upper age limit for all candidates applying for Senior Resident posts is 45 years as on 5th October, 2026.

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST Candidates: Maximum 5 years relaxation.
• OBC Candidates: Maximum 3 years relaxation.

• General Category: Up to 10 years
• OBC Category: Up to 13 years
• SC/ST Category: Up to 15 years

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a salary as per the revised pay scale applicable under the 7th CPC.

Pay Scale: Level – 11 of the Matrix (Pre-revised PB – 3, entry pay of ₹67,700/- per month) + NPA (Non Practicing Allowance) plus other usual allowances admissible under rules.

NPA is applicable only for Medical candidates.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the Senior Resident posts will be based on their performance in the interview. The institute may also conduct a screening test if a large number of applications are received. For every one post, only six candidates will be called for the interview.
