Eligibility Criteria

Scientist B (Medical) - Essential Qualification: MBBS degree from a recognized University/Institution.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with postgraduate qualifications and experience in virology, infectious diseases diagnostics, molecular diagnostics, disease surveillance, or biomedical research will be preferred.
- Desirable Qualifications: MD/DNB/DM/MDS in a related subject from a UGC-recognized University; Ph.D. in a related subject from a UGC-recognized Institute; additional postdoctoral research/training experience in relevant subjects; experience in virology/molecular diagnostics laboratory work, NABL accreditation, and computer applications; and research experience in the relevant subject after obtaining the essential qualification.
- Note: MD/DNB/DM/MDS degrees in relevant subjects are considered equivalent to three years of experience and will receive priority.
Laboratory Technician - Essential Qualification: 10+2 (Science) with DMLT/MLT OR B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology/Life Sciences, as applicable.
- Preferred Qualifications: Relevant laboratory experience in sample processing, serology/PCR/RT-PCR, and molecular diagnostics.
- Desirable Qualifications: Experience in Virology Laboratory, clinical or research laboratory Microbiology, particularly in sample processing, serological and molecular diagnostic techniques. Knowledge of computer applications and experience in infectious disease/virology laboratory work will be an advantage.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for both Scientist B (Medical) and Laboratory Technician posts is 45 years.
Salary / Pay Scale
The monthly emoluments for the positions are as follows:
- Scientist B (Medical): ₹67,000 + 30% HRA
- Laboratory Technician: ₹28,000 + 30% HRA
No other allowances except the consolidated salary will be admissible.
