All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Nagpur has released a recruitment notification for the post of Senior Resident (SR). A total of 72 vacancies are available across 31 clinical and para-clinical departments. This recruitment is being conducted under the Government of India Residency Scheme.

AIIMS Nagpur has announced a total of 72 vacancies for the Senior Resident posts. The vacancies are distributed across various departments. All vacancies are provisional and can change at the discretion of the Executive Director, AIIMS Nagpur.

If no application is received under the EWS category, a UR candidate may be considered for that vacancy.
Candidates must be Indian Nationals. Applicants must have successfully completed their qualifying degree examination and will complete their tenure for the same on or before the application closing date.
Educational QualificationFor general (non-super-speciality) departments, the essential qualification is a postgraduate Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant discipline from a recognised University/Institute. For super-speciality disciplines, candidates holding a DM/M.Ch in the respective super-speciality discipline may also apply.
For the Trauma & Emergency department, accepted qualifications include MD in Emergency Medicine, MD in General Medicine, MS in General Surgery, MD in Anaesthesiology, MD in Respiratory Medicine, MS in Orthopaedics, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
NMC/MCI/State Medical Council registration is mandatory before joining, if selected.
Age LimitThe upper age limit is 45 years as on the closing date of application, which is 17 September 2026. Age relaxation will be provided for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per applicable government rules.
