Vacancy Details

Aligarh Muslim University is looking to fill one (01) vacancy for the post of Guest Teacher in the Department of Sunni Theology.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:

1. A Master's degree in Sunni Theology with at least 55% marks from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
2. OR
3. A Ph.D. Degree in Sunni Theology in accordance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations.

Additional Conditions for Ph.D. Degree Holders (Registered before 11 July 2009):

• Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
• Ph.D. thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
• Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
• Published two research papers from Ph.D. work, with at least one in a refereed journal.
• Presented at least two papers based on Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agencies.

Note: NET/SLET/SET is not required for Master's programs in disciplines where UGC/CSIR does not conduct these tests.

Alternative Eligibility (Option B):

A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among the Top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by QS, THE, or ARWU.
