Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the specific educational qualifications and age limits for each post as detailed below. All relevant degrees must be from ICAR accredited Universities/Colleges only.

• For Teaching Associate:
  • Ph.D. in a relevant subject; OR
  • Master's Degree in a relevant subject with a 4 or 5-year Bachelor's degree. Candidates must have a first division or equivalent overall grade point average.
  • Additionally, candidates need at least 3 years of relevant teaching/research experience (evidenced by Fellowship/Associateship/Training/Other engagements).
  • Must have published one research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) / NAAS rated (>=4.0) Journal.
  • Candidates with a Post-Graduate degree in Basic Sciences (with a 3-year Bachelor's degree and 2-year Master's degree) must also have NET qualification.
• For Teaching Assistant:
  • B.Sc (Ag) / B.Tech (Ag.Engg.) degree of four years.

• For Teaching Associate:
  • Maximum 40 years for men.
  • Maximum 45 years for women.
• For Teaching Assistant:
  • Maximum 35 years for men.
  • Maximum 40 years for women.

Salary / Pay Scale

The emoluments for the selected candidates are as follows:

• Teaching Associate:
  • Rs. 61,000/- per month plus applicable HRA (for Master's Degree Holders).
  • Rs. 67,000/- per month plus applicable HRA (for Ph.D. holders).
  • HRA will be provided as per existing State Government rates applicable at various locations.
• Teaching Assistant:
  • Rs. 35,000/- consolidated pay per month.
