To be eligible for the FLC Counsellor position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A graduate degree from a recognized University.
• Preference will be given to candidates holding a postgraduate degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Sociology, Psychology, or Social Work.

The applicant should not exceed 64 years of age as of 30 September 2026.

• Candidates should be residents of the respective state, preferably from the same district.

• Should possess a flair for teaching and computer knowledge.
• Candidates for the post of FLC counsellor may be selected from the open market.
• Counselors should have sound knowledge of banking, insurance, investment, pension, law, finance, and possess requisite communication and team-building skills.

Salary and Allowances

The remuneration for the FLC Counsellor is fixed at Rs. 25,000 per month. Additionally, candidates may receive reimbursement for conveyance expenses:

• Maximum Rs. 5,000 per month if 10 or more camps are conducted.
• Maximum Rs. 3,000 per month if less than 10 camps are conducted in a month.

Halting allowance will also be provided for tours:

• Rs. 300/- if on tour for more than 8 hours without a night stay.
• Rs. 600/- if on tour with a night stay.

Statutory tax deductions will be applicable as per rules.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the FLC Counsellor post will be based on an Interview only.
