Eligibility

Explanation of Eligibility:

• Educational Qualification: Each post has a very specific academic requirement. For instance, a Psychologist needs both a Graduation and Post Graduation in Psychology with specific minimum marks. Pathology requires a B.Sc with DMLT or a B.Sc in Medical Lab Technology. Radiography needs a B.Sc in Radiography or a B.Sc with a one-year Diploma. Nuclear Medicine Technologist requires a B.Sc with a specific diploma or a B.Sc in Nuclear Medicine Technology. It's crucial to match your exact degree and percentage with the post you are applying for.
• Experience: While not mandatory for all posts, candidates applying for Scientific Assistant/C (Psychologist) with at least one year of hospital/clinical experience after their postgraduate degree will be given preference. This means having relevant experience can significantly boost your chances for this particular role.
• Cut-off Date: Remember that all your qualifications, including the completion of your degree and any required experience, must be obtained on or before 18 August 2026. If your results are pending or you complete your course after this date, you will not be considered eligible.
• Percentage Conversion: If your academic transcripts show grades or CGPA instead of percentages, you must convert them to a percentage using your university's official conversion formula. Keep proof of this conversion handy, as it will be required during the document verification stage.

Age Limit

Age Relaxation:

• Departmental candidates with at least 3 years of continuous and regular service in the same line or allied cadre as on the last date of receipt of application.
• 5 years' relaxation for children/family members of those who died in the 1984 Riots.
• Widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands and not re-married.
• Meritorious sportspersons.

Application Fee

The application fee must be paid online only. This is done through the "Make Payment" option available under the "My Account" menu after you have successfully generated your application number. Please note that if the fee is not paid on or before the closing date (18.08.2026), your application will be considered incomplete and will be rejected. Once paid, the application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Selection Process

Explanation of Selection Stages:

• Screening Test: BARC reserves the right to conduct a screening test if the number of applications received for a particular post is very high. This test would serve to shortlist candidates for the subsequent interview stage. The details of this test, if conducted, including its pattern and syllabus, would be announced later. Candidates should be prepared for this possibility.
• Personal Interview: This is the main and final stage of the selection process. Candidates shortlisted either directly or after a screening test will be called for a Personal Interview. The interview will assess your subject knowledge, communication skills, aptitude, and suitability for the role within BARC. Performance in the Personal Interview will be the deciding factor for final selection.

• Documentary Proof for Age Relaxation: If you are claiming age relaxation under categories like Departmental candidates, 1984 Riots victims' families, Widows/Divorced/Judicially separated women, or Meritorious sportspersons, you must possess the relevant documentary evidence.
