Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Typist post, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Selection Process

The selection for the Typist post will be made through direct recruitment based on the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Ministerial and Other Posts) (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2021. The selection process includes:

1. Skill Test: Candidates will undergo a 15-minute dictation test in Kannada and English. They will have to type the dictated content on a computer using specialized software.
2. Scoring for Skill Test: Both Kannada and English skill tests are for a maximum of 100 marks each. Candidates must score at least 50 marks in each to pass.
3. Interview Call: Based on the total percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and the skill test, candidates will be shortlisted for the interview in a 1:5 ratio (1 post for 5 candidates).
4. Interview Marks: 5% of the maximum marks of the qualifying examination will be allocated for the interview.
5. Final Merit List: The final selection list will be prepared based on the seniority determined by the total percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination, the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, and the marks secured in the interview.
