Eligibility Criteria
Only Indian sportspersons who have acquired the required sports achievements and are active in their sport are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification
The minimum educational qualification varies based on the pay level of the post:
- Pay Level-5: A degree/Graduation or its equivalent from a recognized university.
- Pay Level-2: 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University.
- Pay Level-1: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent from a recognized Board or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years of age as on 01 January 2027.
- Eligible candidates are those born between 01 January 2002 and 01 January 2009 (both days inclusive).
- Candidates born on or before 31 December 2001 are not eligible.
- Candidates born on or after 02 January 2009 are also not eligible.
No age relaxation is provided for any community.
Application Fee
The examination fee is as follows:
- For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Minorities, and Economically Backward Classes: Rs. 250/-
- For all other candidates: Rs. 500/-
Refund: Rs. 250/- will be refunded to candidates who appear for the trial. Rs. 400/- will be refunded to candidates who appear for the trial.
Candidates claiming fee waiver must submit the required self-declaration or affidavit. Failure to do so will lead to rejection.
Salary / Pay Scale
The posts are offered in different pay levels as per the 7th Pay Commission:

Selection Process
The selection process involves the following stages:
- Screening of Application: Initial review of submitted applications.
- Document Verification: Verification of all submitted documents.
- Sports Trials: Assessment of sports performance and suitability by a Trial Committee. Candidates need to secure at least 25 marks out of 40 to be considered 'FIT'.
- Assessment of Sports Achievement & Educational Qualification: FIT candidates from the trial will be assessed for their sports achievements (50 marks) and educational qualifications (10 marks).
The final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained out of 100 (40 marks from Trials + 50 marks from Sports Achievements + 10 marks from Educational Qualification).
