Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the educational qualifications and age limits specified for each post.
Educational Qualification - Project Scientist: Essential: Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science. OR M.E./M.Tech with 3 years of research experience and at least one research paper in a SCI Journal. Desirable: Research experience in extractive metallurgy, powder metallurgy, alloy and magnet preparation.
- Project Staff Technical: Essential: First class (60%) Diploma in Electrical, Civil, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Project Staff Admin: Essential: First class (60%) B.Com/BA/B.Sc. with 2 years of work experience, good computer knowledge, MS Office tools, and accounts.
Age Limit The maximum age limit is calculated as on the date of the walk-in interview (22 September 2026).
- Project Scientist: 40 years
- Project Staff Technical: 31 years (for OBC), 33 years (for SC)
- Project Staff Admin: 28 years
Age Relaxation:
- Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India rules.
- There is no age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for Unreserved (UR) positions.
- For reserved positions for OBC, age relaxation is three years over and above the maximum age.
- For reserved positions for SC, age relaxation is five years over and above the maximum age.
- OBC candidates seeking age relaxation must bring a valid OBC (NCL) certificate for employment in the Government of India.
- SC/ST/OBC candidates can apply for UR positions if they meet the age criteria.
