The Central Bank of India has announced recruitment for Counselor positions on a contract basis. This opportunity is for its Financial Literacy Centers (FLCs) located in various districts of Chhattisgarh.

Vacancy Details

The recruitment aims to fill one Counselor position for each of the following districts:

• District- Balrampur
• District- Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur (MCB)
• District- Surajpur
• District- Surguja

A total of four (04) vacancies are available, one for each district.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Counselor post must meet the following age and educational requirements:

Applicants should be above 45 years of age and less than 65 years of age as on September 01, 2026. Candidates must also possess good health.

Essential Qualification:

• Must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

Experience and Other Eligibility Criteria:

• Preferred: Retired/VRS opted Bank Officials of Scale I and above from Nationalized Banks, including State Bank of India & RRBs.
• Desirable: Must be computer literate, proficient in basic MS Office, internet, and typing in the local language. Excellent communication skills in the local language are essential.
• Other Candidates: Ex-Service men or other individuals (like Government School Teachers) with banking knowledge and knowledge of financial services, who have completed relevant IIBF certification courses.
• Applicants must have an unblemished service record and possess a Service Certificate from their previous employer.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience as an officer or permanent employee is required.
• Candidates should be residents of Chhattisgarh State, preferably from the same or a nearby district of the FLC.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a monthly consolidated amount of Rs. 25,000/-. Additionally, an amount of Rs. 1,000/- per month will be provided towards conveyance, including mobile expenses.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will be shortlisted and called for a personal interview. The decision of the Bank regarding the selection process will be final.
