Central Silk Board Recruitment for Young Professionals

The Central Silk Board (CSB) has announced a recruitment drive for Young Professionals (YP) on a contractual basis. This recruitment aims to fill 14 vacancies across its Central Office in Bengaluru and various institutes/units throughout India.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational qualification and experience requirements:

• Essential Educational Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) OR MBA, M.Com.
• Post Qualification Experience:
  • For Chartered Accountant: 3+ years of experience in the Government sector.
  • For MBA, M.Com: 5+ years of experience in the Government sector.
• Field of Experience: Government accounting of autonomous bodies, Tally Prime, procurement procedures in Government, scrutiny of TA/DA bills, medical bills, pension, internal audit, and experience in statutory compliances.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for candidates is 35 years as on 01 July 2026.

Remuneration

The monthly remuneration for the Young Professional-Grade-3 post is Rs. 70,000/-. This remuneration is inclusive of all applicable taxes. TA/DA will be admissible as per Level-8 employees when on tour.

The remuneration may be reviewed annually based on performance. Performance-based enhancement can range from up to 5% to up to 10% of the remuneration, subject to recommendations and approvals.

Selection Process

The selection of Young Professionals will be conducted by a Screening Committee and a Selection Committee constituted by the Central Silk Board. The process will involve evaluation based on existing CSB guidelines. A waiting list of candidates will also be prepared, which will be valid for one year.

Documents Required

Candidates are required to attach self-attested copies of the following documents with their application:

• Certificates and Marksheets of Educational Qualification.
• Experience Certificates issued by past employers and a certificate from the current employer.
• Documents related to other relevant details.

Additionally, candidates may be required to submit a police verification report and a medical-cum-fitness certificate prior to engagement.

Important Instructions

• The engagement is purely on a contractual basis.
• The engagement period is initially for two years and may be extended based on performance.
• The engaged Young Professional will not be considered a staff member or official of the Central Silk Board.
• Candidates must complete the 'Dakshta for Young Professionals' course on iGoT within 2 months of joining.
• Working hours are as per CSB office timings, but candidates may be required to work late or on holidays if needed, without additional remuneration.
• Paid leave will be granted at the rate of 1.5 days per completed month.
• Income Tax or any other applicable tax will be deducted at source.
