Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the essential qualifications for the Research Associate post. Those eligible for JRF/SRF are also encouraged to apply.

Essential Qualification for Research Associate:

• Ph.D. completed or nearing completion in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering with quality publications.
• OR
• 3 years of research, teaching, and design and development experience after Master's degree (M.E./M.Tech/M.S.) in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation engineering with at least one research paper in an SCI journal.

Desirable Experience:

• Proficiency in embedded systems and familiarity with various development platforms.
• Significant experience in dynamic modelling, simulation, and analysis of power electronics and electric machines/electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency in simulation tools such as Ansys Maxwell and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Expertise in Electromagnetic FEA tools such as Ansys Maxwell, Motor-CAD, or Flux.
• Strong understanding of Power Electronics (e.g., inverters/converters, gate drivers, IGBTs, MOSFETs).
• Expertise in Motor Control Theory, including Field-Oriented Control (FOC) and PID tuning.
• Experience with control systems modelling and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software integration issues.

Preference will be given to candidates with a valid GATE score.

Salary / Pay Scale

The emoluments are as per ANRF norms:

• Research Associate: ₹ 58,000/- + 30% HRA per month (Year 1 to 5)

If the position is offered at the JRF/SRF level, the designation and emoluments will be governed by prevailing institutional and funding agency guidelines.
