CSIR-NAL Recruitment for Research Fellows

The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research - National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL) has announced recruitment for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) positions. These roles are for ongoing research projects at the Bengaluru-based laboratory.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be Indian Nationals or Overseas Citizens of India.

• For Junior Research Fellow (JRF): First class MSc in Physics, Material Science, or Chemistry. Applicants must have qualified CSIR UGC NET or have a valid GATE score.
• For Senior Research Fellow (SRF): First class MSc in Physics, Material Science, or Electronics with a minimum of 2 years of research experience. Candidates should have at least one publication in a SCI Journal and have completed at least two years of post-MSc research experience. Alternatively, an M.Tech in Nanotechnology or Electronics with at least 60% marks is also accepted. Preference will be given to NET/GATE qualified candidates.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 28 years for JRF and 32 years for SRF as of the last date for receiving applications. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3 years) candidates as per CSIR/Government of India guidelines.

Salary / Pay Scale

The monthly emoluments are as follows:

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): ₹37,000 per month + HRA as applicable.
• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): ₹42,000 per month + HRA as applicable.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The date and time of the interview will be communicated via email or through the NAL website. No travel allowance will be paid for attending the interview.

The filled application form, along with a recent passport-size photograph and copies of all relevant certificates and documents, should be sent in a sealed cover. Important Instructions

• The engagement is for a temporary duration of two years, with potential upgradation to SRF from the third year based on performance.
• Accurate and complete information must be provided in the application form. Furnishing incorrect or false information will lead to disqualification.

• Candidates are advised to work for the project for a minimum of one year after appointment.
• A minimum of 1 month's prior notice is required if a candidate wishes to leave the job.
