Vacancy Details

A total of 1 vacancy is available for the post of Driver on a contingency basis. This post is purely temporary and can be terminated at any time.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the Driver post:

• Must be a citizen of India.
• Must have a valid Employment Exchange Registration number.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must have passed at least VIII standard or Class 8.

Age Limit

The age of the candidate must not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 01.01.2026. Age relaxation will be provided as per existing Government Guidelines.

Salary / Pay Scale

The selected candidate will receive a fixed pay of Rs. 15,000/- per month.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of two stages:

1. Stage I: Driving Test (50 Marks)
2. Stage II: Interview / Viva-voce (50 Marks)

The final selection will be based on the total marks obtained in the Driving Skill Test and the Personal Interview.

Applications must be submitted offline. Candidates need to send their completed applications along with all required documents to the specified address. A drop box will also be available at the District Court Building at Jatinga for submission.

Documents Required

Candidates must attach self-attested photocopies of the following documents with their application:

• Educational Qualification Certificates
• Experience Certificate (if applicable)
• Valid Driving License (LMV)
• Caste Certificate
• Age Proof
• Employment Exchange Registration Card
• Three copies of recent Passport Size Photographs (duly signed on the reverse side)
• Declaration in Form-"A" under Rule 5(1) of the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019.

Important Instructions

• Candidates already in Government Service must apply through the proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
• Applications received late, without proper documents, unsigned, incomplete, or defective will be rejected.
• No individual call letter or admit card will be sent. The accepted and rejected lists will be uploaded on the official website and displayed on notice boards.
