Delhi Technological University (DTU) has released a recruitment notice for the position of Data Scientist. This is a project-based role funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

Vacancy Details

A single vacancy is available for the post of Data Scientist under the project titled “Development of AI-Based Solution for Analysing, Benchmarking and Quality Monitoring of the Cybersecurity Audit Reports and Performance Monitoring of Auditing Organizations".

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the essential qualifications and age limit to be considered for the Data Scientist position.

Essential Qualification:

• Ph.D. (awarded or thesis submitted) in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Software Engineering / Cyber Security / Artificial Intelligence / Electronics & Communications / Mathematics & Computing or a closely related discipline.
• OR
• M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Software Engineering / Cyber Security / Artificial Intelligence / Electronics & Communications / Mathematics & Computing or a closely related discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

For PhD Candidates:

• One (01) research paper publication in SCI/SCIE-indexed journals.

Desirable Qualification (Not Mandatory):

• For M.E./M.Tech Candidates:
• Two (02) years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Two (02) research paper publications in SCI/SCIE-indexed journals.

Desirable qualifications will be used for preference during shortlisting.

The age limit is 40 years. Age relaxation may be applicable as per Government of India / DTU / funding agency norms.

Hands-on experience in Deep Learning/Machine Learning/Natural Language Processing/Text Summarisation/Large Language Models (LLMs)/Reinforcement Learning/ Python Programming/ Cyber Security/Information Security.

Salary and Tenure

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly emolument of Rs. 87,100/-. The engagement is purely contractual and project-based, for a period of 12 months or until the project concludes, whichever is earlier. The contract may be renewed based on satisfactory performance, project fund availability, and approval from the Competent Authority.

Selection Process

The selection process involves shortlisting applications based on eligibility and relevant experience. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for an interview by a Selection Committee. Candidates will be informed about the interview date via email.
