ESIC Dental College Kalaburagi Recruitment 2026: Professor & Assistant Professor Posts

Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Dental College & Hospital, Kalaburagi, Karnataka has announced recruitment for Professor and Assistant Professor positions. These are contractual appointments for a period of one year, which may be extended for another two years based on performance or until a regular incumbent joins.

Vacancy Details

The number of vacancies is provisional and may change based on Dental Council of India (DCI) requirements.

Note: In case reserved category candidates (SC, ST, OBC) are not available, vacancies may be filled under the UR category for 44 days.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and age limits to be eligible for the posts.

• For Professor (Orthodontics): BDS Degree from an Indian University or equivalent, along with a Post Graduate qualification in the respective subject. Must have 5 years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor in a recognized Dental College in the concerned specialty, with publication points as per DCI guidelines.
• For Assistant Professor (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Pathology): A Bachelors Degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) from an Indian University with Masters in Dental Surgery (MDS) recognized by the Government of India on the recommendations of the Council, in the specialty.

• The age limit is not exceeding 65 years as on the date of the interview.
• Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Central Government rules.
• No age relaxation will be given to SC/ST candidates applying for Unreserved vacancies.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated pay as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) recommendations. The pay structure is as follows:

In addition to the consolidated pay, Travel Allowance (TA) with Dearness Allowance (DA) on TA will be payable as per rules. No other allowances like DA, NPA, HRA will be paid as these are included in the consolidated remuneration. Private practice is not allowed.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on a walk-in interview. Candidates are advised to ensure they meet all eligibility criteria before appearing for the interview.

Note: 50% of the total marks would be considered as the criteria for eligibility for selection.

How to Apply

Interested and eligible candidates should follow these steps to apply:

1. Check Eligibility: Ensure you meet the advertised criteria for the post before applying.
2. Fill Application Form: Download the application form enclosed with the advertisement. All candidates must fill the form completely before the registration process.
3. Attend Walk-in Interview: Report at the venue on 25.09.2026 by 9:00 AM for registration. The interview will start at 11:00 AM onwards.
4. Carry Documents: Bring the filled application form along with original certificates, one set of self-attested photocopies of original certificates, two recent passport-size photographs, and relevant supporting documents.
5. Separate Application: If applying for more than one post, a separate application form, set of documents, and demand draft (if applicable) must be submitted for each post.

Documents Required

Candidates must produce the following original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies at the time of the walk-in interview:

• SSLC/10th standard certificate as proof of age.
• BDS Certificate.
• MDS Certificate.
• Internship Completion Certificate.
• Registration with State Dental Council with latest renewal.
• Caste Certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if applicable and updated.
• Any other relevant certificates.

Important Instructions

• The number of vacancies is provisional and can be increased or decreased.
• Candidates applying under reserved categories must submit a valid Caste Certificate issued by the appropriate authority.
• No Objection Certificate from the present employer is required if currently employed.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
• The Competent Authority reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
• A security deposit is required for selected candidates: Rs. 2,34,630/- for Professor and Rs. 1,34,046/- for Assistant Professor. This deposit is refundable after completion of a minimum six-month contract period, subject to a "No Dues Certificate".
