Application Fee

A uniform application fee is applicable for all candidates applying for the HPSC Section Officer, HPF&AS recruitment. The fee must be paid online through the designated OTRS portal.

Selection Process

The selection for HPSC Section Officer, HPF&AS involves a rigorous two-stage examination process designed to assess candidates' knowledge and aptitude. Successful candidates will then undergo mandatory pre-induction training.

Stage Process
1. Preliminary Entrance Examination This stage consists of 120 objective-type multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying 1 mark. The examination duration is 2 hours. Subjects covered include English & Hindi (40 questions), Omnibus Accounts (40 questions), and FRSR & HPFR 2009 (40 questions). A negative marking of 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Candidates who qualify will be shortlisted for the Main Examination in a ratio of 10 times the number of vacancies.
2. Main (Entrance) Examination The Main Examination comprises three papers, each with a duration of 3 hours. Paper I covers English and Hindi (Precis, letter writing, noting and drafting) for 150 marks (75+75). Paper II focuses on Omnibus Accounts (Pay Fixation, Pension, TA, LTC, Leave, GPF rules) for 150 marks. Paper III assesses knowledge of FR, SR, and Himachal Pradesh Financial Rules (HPFR) for 150 marks. Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and 45% in aggregate to pass (with a 5% relaxation for reserved categories). The final merit list will be prepared strictly based on marks obtained, subject to the reservation policy.
3. Pre-induction Training Selected candidates will undergo pre-induction training at MSHIPA, followed by HPF&AS Part-I and Part-II examinations.

Salary

Successful candidates appointed as Section Officer, HPF&AS will receive an attractive salary package as per the Himachal Pradesh Government norms. This includes a competitive pay scale along with various admissible allowances.
