Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Young Professional-I position, candidates must meet the following educational and age requirements:
Educational Qualification Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture (Soil Science / Agronomy / Agricultural Microbiology)
- OR
- B.Sc. (Hons.) in Botany / Microbiology / Environmental Science / Biotechnology / Chemistry
Desirable Qualification: Experience in Soil, Plant and Water analysis work in laboratory and field experimentation and preparation of scientific/technical reports/papers.
Age Limit The age limit for candidates as on the date of the interview is:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 45 years
Age relaxation for SC, ST, and OBC candidates will be applicable as per Government of India norms.
Salary / Pay Scale
The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration:
- Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/- per month (consolidated)
Selection Process
The selection of candidates for the Young Professional-I post will be based on a walk-in interview. The interview process may include a written test to shortlist candidates if a large number of applicants appear.
- The interview will comprise a written-cum-personal interview.
- Preference may be given to candidates with work experience in ICAR institutes.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

- Candidates currently employed must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
Candidates must report strictly within the scheduled time. Latecomers will not be entertained.

Important Instructions
- The position is purely temporary and will end on 31.03.2027 or upon completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
- The appointed candidate will not have any right for absorption in ICAR-CRRI/ICAR.
- The Director, ICAR-CRRI reserves the right to modify or cancel the recruitment process.
