• Essential Qualification: Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Biotechnology / Life Science / Entomology / Agricultural Entomology / Bioinformatics and allied subjects.
• Desired Qualification: A Master's degree in Biotechnology / Life Science / Entomology / Agricultural Entomology / Bioinformatics with ICAR/CSIR/UGC-NET or an equivalent National Level Eligibility Test. Candidates with research experience in Insect Biotechnology / CRISPR-Cas / RNAi / Molecular Biology / Genomics / Proteomics / Transcriptomics / Nanobiotechnology are preferred. Experience in lab techniques such as real-time PCR, SDS PAGE, insect embryonic microinjection, functional genomics, bioinformatics, data analysis, and insect culture maintenance is also desirable.

• Maximum Age: 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on the date of interview.
• Age Relaxation: Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided as per Government of India (GoI) / ICAR rules. This includes 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for PwD candidates.

Salary / Pay Scale

The selected Junior Research Fellow will receive a fixed emolument of Rs. 37,000/- per month, along with House Rent Allowance (HRA), as per DST O.M. No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26.06.2023.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Junior Research Fellow post will involve the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their eligibility criteria, academic performance, and relevant research experience.
2. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be informed via email and invited to attend an online or in-person interview in Delhi. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
