Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational and age requirements to be eligible for these posts.

• Junior Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow: Master's degree in Horticulture/Fruit Science/Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/Life Sciences with a 4 or 5-year bachelor's degree. Alternatively, a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with a 3-year bachelor's degree, along with UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET, GATE qualification, or an equivalent, or a Ph.D. in any of the mentioned disciplines.
• Field Assistant: B.Sc. degree or a 3-year diploma in Engineering and Technology. A graduate degree in any discipline is also accepted.

• Maximum Age Limit: 50 years for all posts.
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be as per Government of India/ICAR rules.
• Specific age limits mentioned are: Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women (JRF/SRF), and 50 years (Field Assistant).

Candidates should verify they meet the age limit as on the specified cut-off date.

Salary / Stipend

The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as follows:

• Junior Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow: Rs. 37,000 + HRA (27%) for the first and second year, and Rs. 42,000 + HRA (27%) for the third year.
• Field Assistant: Rs. 20,000 + HRA (27%).
