To be eligible for the Guest Teacher positions, candidates must possess a Master's degree in the relevant subject within the Agriculture faculty. The degree should have been obtained with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade on a 6.50/10.00 scale, along with a good academic record. For candidates holding a Master's degree, the National Eligibility Test (NET) is compulsory, and they must also have at least one publication in a NAAS-rated referred journal. However, candidates who hold a Ph.D. degree, obtained with coursework as prescribed by UGC Regulations 2009, and have at least two full-length publications with a NAAS rating of 4 or more by the application deadline, are exempted from the NET requirement. Ph.D. degrees obtained without coursework will not qualify for this NET exemption.
The maximum age limit for Guest Teachers is 40 years. Candidates who are bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh and belong to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), or are women will be given a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit, as per Chhattisgarh Government rules. This relaxation will not exceed a total maximum age of 45 years. Any further increase or amendment in the maximum age limit by the Chhattisgarh Government will also be applicable to Guest Teachers.
