The Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) has released a recruitment notice for the post of Assistant Director (Academics/Training). This is a permanent position. Applications are invited from eligible candidates.

The IIBF is looking to fill one (1) vacancy for the post of Assistant Director (Academics/ Training).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational and work experience requirements to be eligible for the Assistant Director post.

• Essential: Post Graduate degree in Commerce, Economics, Banking, or Finance. Alternatively, CA, CMA, or CS qualification.
• Desirable: A 2-year course in MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM (Banking & Finance) or an equivalent qualification. Ph.D. in a Banking or Finance related topic. CAIIB or CFA qualification.

• Essential: Minimum 05 years of work experience in Banks/Financial Institutions, holding a position of Assistant Manager or above grade, or an equivalent position in the Private Sector. OR Minimum 05 years of work experience in a College/University, holding a position of Assistant Professor or above grade in banking & finance subjects.
• Desirable: Working experience as Faculty, and published articles/books.

Age Limit

The age of the candidate should not exceed 35 years as on 01.09.2026.

Salary and Emoluments

The Assistant Director cadre is presently in a basic pay scale. The total initial package, including salary and other perquisites, is approximately Rs. 19.00 Lakhs per annum on a cost-to-company basis. This includes Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and allowances for conveyance, telephone, medical, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), and Group Medical Insurance as per prevailing rules. The Institute may consider allotment of an unfurnished 2 BHK quarter at Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri West, Mumbai, if available, in lieu of HRA. If an Institute-owned flat is not available, reimbursement of leased accommodation rent will be provided as per rules.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Interview. The interview will be conducted by a selection committee at the Institute's Corporate Office in Mumbai. Outstation candidates attending the interview will be reimbursed for their economy class airfare (to and fro). No other local conveyance will be reimbursed.

The Institute reserves the right to shortlist candidates for the personal interview, and its decision will be final. The Institute also reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any time without assigning any reason.

Terms of Appointment

Appointment is subject to satisfactory medical fitness and background/credentials verification. Selected candidates must execute an agreement to serve the Institute for a minimum period of two (2) years of active service from the joining date. Failure to do so will require the candidate to pay Rs. 2,00,000/- to the Institute.

Posting

The selected candidate will initially be posted at the Corporate Office in Mumbai. However, they are liable to be posted at any of the Institute's offices in the future. IIBF currently has offices in New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Guwahati, Lucknow, and Bengaluru, with an upcoming office in Gift City, Ahmedabad.
