The Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) has announced a recruitment drive for the post of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on a full-time contract basis. This is a significant role based at the IIBF Corporate Office in Mumbai.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational and age requirements to be considered for the CTO position.

Essential: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or MCA or an equivalent qualification from a university recognized by the government.

Desirable:

• M. Tech in Computer Science/ IT, with specialization in Information Security/ Cyber Security.
• Project Management Certification/ PRINCE 2.
• MBA (Systems) from a reputed institution.
• CTO certification from a reputed institution (e.g., TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL, or equivalent senior-level technology management certification).

Essential:

• A minimum of 15 years of experience working with PSUs, Banks, Financial Institutions, Educational Training Institutes, or private organizations, preferably in an IT department.
• Must have served in the capacity of DGM/GM or a similar senior position in a private organization and been in charge of the IT department for at least 3 years.

Desirable:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in managing RFP processes, vendor management, technical evaluation, and project implementation.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with working knowledge of Infrastructure Management/cloud management, SOC, software stack, applications, database, and middleware.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a background in technology-driven educational training institutes, insurance, banking, financial, and technology sectors.
• Experience in overseeing large-scale software solution development and enterprise-wide modernization programs.
• Exposure to implementing projects like E-learning, Online examination, Online Training, Digital Library, and Mock Tests.

The applicant should not be more than 62 years of age as on 01.09.2026.

Remuneration

The yearly Cost to Company (CTC) will be Rs. 60,00,000 (Rupees Sixty Lakhs only). An annual increment of Rs. 5,00,000 (Rupees Five Lakhs only) is applicable, subject to tax deductions.

Leave entitlement is 15 days per year, which is non-encashable, as per the Institute's rules for full-time contract officers.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview at the Institute's Corporate Office in Mumbai. Outstation candidates will be reimbursed for economy class airfare (to and fro). The Institute reserves the right to shortlist candidates and cancel the process at any time.
