Minimum Educational Qualification:

• Ph.D. degree in any area of Science.
• Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the award of a Ph.D. degree may also apply. They must provide a letter from a competent authority confirming thesis submission and pending final viva/defense.
• Candidates should provide evidence of having conducted high-quality research during or after their Ph.D. program.

Desirable Qualities:

• Experience in evolutionary biology, population genomics, phylogenomics, genomics, or conservation genomics.
• Proficiency in R/Python/Bash and bioinformatics or computational genomic workflows.
• Ability to work collaboratively and mentor students.

Salary / Pay Scale

The fellowship amount will be as follows:

• Rs. 58,000/- per month + 9% HRA for candidates who produce their Ph.D. Certificate.
• Rs. 42,000/- per month + 9% HRA for candidates whose Ph.D. degree is awaited but have submitted their thesis.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a walk-in interview. Candidates will be interviewed by a selection committee. If a large number of applications are received, the Project Leader may restrict the number of candidates for the interview based on qualifications and experience above the minimum prescribed.
