IIT Delhi Recruitment 2026: Clinical Psychologist & Male Counsellor Vacancies

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has announced recruitment for Clinical Psychologist and Male Counsellor positions. These are project-based appointments on a contractual basis. The recruitment aims to strengthen the Student Counselling Services at IIT Delhi.

• Clinical Psychologist: 02 Posts
• Male Counsellor (Consultant Student Counsellor): 02 Posts

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the specified educational qualifications and age limits for the respective posts.

• Clinical Psychologist:
  • B.A. (Hons)/B.Sc. and M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology with M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology with at least 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Adult & Adolescence Mental Health.
  • Desirable: Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required.
• Male Counsellor (Consultant Student Counsellor):
  • B.A. (Hons)/B.Sc. and M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology with at least 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Adult & Adolescence Mental Health.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required.

• Clinical Psychologist: Maximum 45 years
• Male Counsellor: Maximum 40 years

A 5% relaxation in marks may be granted to SC/ST candidates.

Salary / Pay Scale

The remuneration will be consolidated and paid monthly. It will be commensurate with the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience, but will not exceed twenty percent higher than previous remunerations received.

• Clinical Psychologist: Rs. 80,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- per month
• Male Counsellor: Rs. 70,000/- to Rs. 80,000/- per month

Selection Process

Applications will be shortlisted by a committee. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The date of the interview will be communicated via email to the selected candidates.
