Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill the following educational qualifications and other conditions to be considered for the Guest Faculty post:

Educational Qualification
  • Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in Social Work with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale). This degree should be from an Indian University or an accredited foreign University.
  • A relaxation of 5% in the Master's level marks will be allowed for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), as per UGC and Panjab University norms.
  • In addition to the Master's degree, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC such as SLET/SET.
  • Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, and subsequent amendments, are exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.
  • Candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to 11 July 2009 are also exempted from NET/SLET/SET if they fulfill the conditions prescribed by the UGC, duly certified by the Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs).
Desirable Experience
  • Experience of teaching Postgraduate classes of Master of Social Work is desirable.
