Important Instructions
To ensure a smooth application process and avoid common pitfalls, keep the following important instructions in mind:
- Read the Full Notification: Always read the complete official advertisement thoroughly, including all annexures and footnotes, before applying. Do not rely solely on summaries.
- Verify Eligibility: Double-check that you meet all educational qualifications, experience, and age criteria for the specific Assistant Professor grade and department you are applying for.
- Accurate Information: Provide accurate and truthful information in your application form. Any discrepancy found later can lead to disqualification.
- Upload Correct Documents: Ensure you upload clear, legible, and correct scanned copies of all required documents. Mismatched or unclear documents can cause issues.
- Adhere to Deadline: Submit your online application well before the closing date of July 21, 2026, 5:00 PM (IST). Late applications will not be considered.
- Save Application Copy: Always download and print a copy of your submitted online application form for your personal records and future reference.
- Email Communication: Keep an eye on the email ID you provided in your application, as all communication regarding shortlisting and interviews will be sent there.
- NOC for Employed Candidates: If you are working in a government or public sector organization, ensure you have applied through the proper channel and can produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and Vigilance Clearance at the time of the interview.
- Interview Preparedness: If shortlisted for an interview, be prepared to carry all original certificates and self-attested photocopies for verification.
- No Correspondence: IIT Indore will not entertain any correspondence regarding the conduct and result of interviews or reasons for not being called for an interview or selection.
- Relaxation of Criteria: The minimum eligibility criteria may be relaxed for candidates with exceptional credentials, as per the institute's discretion.
- Women Applicants Encouraged: IIT Indore actively encourages the participation of women in teaching and research, and women applicants are encouraged to apply.
