IIT Roorkee Project Positions Announced

The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has released an advertisement for project positions. Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the posts of Junior Research Fellow and Research Associate.

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 01

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the minimum educational qualifications and other requirements for each post.

• M.E/M.Tech in EE/EC/Physics/CS or equivalent with a CGPA of 6.0 or above; OR
• B.E./B.Tech in ECE, CSE, or equivalent with a CGPA of 7.5 out of 10.0; OR
• M.Sc./MCA in Physics/Instrumentation/Electronics/Computer Science & Equivalent with a CGPA of 7.5 or above.
• Must have qualified a national-level test (GATE/NET/etc.) or hold a degree from a CFTI.

• PhD in EE/EC/CS/Physics/equivalent; OR
• 3 years of experience after M.Tech in a relevant domain.

Age Limit

Not specified in the official notification.

Monthly Emoluments (Salary)

The monthly emoluments for the positions are as follows:

• Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA for the first 2 years. After 2 years, it will be Rs. 42,000/- + HRA.
• Research Associate: Rs. 58,000/- + HRA for the first 2 years. After 2 years, it will be Rs. 61,000/- + HRA.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates should submit their applications with a detailed CV and copies of degree/certificates to the Principal Investigator via email. Candidates may also be required to produce these documents at the time of the interview. The selection will be based on the qualifications and experience. Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates if they have equal qualifications and experience.
