Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and age limits to be eligible for the recruitment.
Educational QualificationThe age limit is calculated as on October 5, 2026.
Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3 years) categories if the post is reserved for them. Upper age relaxation is also applicable for Serving Government Employees, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, Widows, Divorced women, and Meritorious Sportspersons as per Government of India orders.
Candidates are required to pay an application fee through the online mode.
The fee can be paid immediately after submitting the online application or later before the last date using the link provided. Female, SC, ST, Ex-SM, and PwBD candidates are eligible for a full refund of the fee. For other candidates, Rs. 500/- (for Technical Assistant posts) or Rs. 400/- (for Technician 'B', Cook 'A', Fireman 'A' posts) will be refunded after deducting bank charges, provided they appear for the written test.
The pay scale for the recruited candidates will be as per the Government of India norms.
In addition to basic pay, candidates will receive Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance as per rules. Other benefits like Medical Facilities, Subsidized Canteen, Transport facility, Departmental Housing, Leave Travel Concession, and House Building Advance are also provided.
The selection process involves a Written Test and a Skill Test. The final selection will be based on the scores obtained in the Written Test.
The Skill Test is conducted on a 'GO/NO-GO' basis. The Written Test will be held offline (OMR method) in Tirunelveli and Chennai. Candidates must choose their preferred city during the online application. In case of a tie in Written Test scores, academic scores will be used as a tie-breaker.
