Vacancy Details

The recruitment is for the following posts:

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree with First or Higher Second Class from a recognized University in Education/ Distance Education/ Social Science/ Languages.
• Ph.D. degree.
• SET or NET in the subject concerned or in an allied/relevant subject.
• Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with a minimum of 10 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, and a total research score of at least 120 as per Government Resolution dated 08/03/2019.
• A minimum of ten years of Teaching experience in a University/College and/or research experience at University/National level Institutions/Industries, with evidence of successfully guiding doctoral candidates.
• OR An outstanding professional with an established reputation in the relevant field and significant contributions to knowledge.
• Desirable: A Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Distance Education. Significant experience in academic, administration, or Instructional Design and creation of Self-Learning Materials (SLMs).

• A Master's degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC like SET, OR have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations.
• Note: Relaxation of 5% marks is applicable for Ph.D. Degree holders who obtained their Master's Degree before 19th September 1991. Relaxation of 5% is also allowed for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/Differently abled candidates at Bachelor's and Master's level.
• Candidates who have cleared the State Eligibility Test (SET) from a state other than Maharashtra will not be considered for appointment.
• Knowledge of Marathi Language is desirable for all posts.

Salary / Pay Scale

Consolidated monthly salary will be paid:

• Director: Rs. 50,000/- p.m.
• Temporary Assistant Professor (with 5+ years of teaching experience): Rs. 40,000/- p.m.
• Temporary Assistant Professor (less than 5 years of teaching experience or fresh appointment): Rs. 35,000/- p.m.

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted for an interview. The criteria for shortlisting for Temporary Assistant Professor posts will be as per Table 3A of the Maharashtra Government Resolution dated 08 March, 2019.

• Mere possession of minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview or selection.
• The University reserves the right to fill or not fill the posts, modify, alter, or cancel the advertisement.
• Candidates appointed on a contract basis will not be entitled to claim regular appointment.
• Candidates belonging to reserved categories from Maharashtra State alone will be considered for reserved posts and must submit a Caste Validity certificate at the time of joining.
