King George Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow has announced recruitment for Research Officer (Non-Medical) and Research Co-ordinator positions. These posts are purely temporary and are part of a Gates Foundation funded project.

A total of 19 vacancies are available for the following posts:

• Research Officer (Non-Medical): 12 Posts
• Research Co-ordinator: 7 Posts

The posts will be located in various places including the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, KGMU, Lucknow, and several District Women Hospitals.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the age and educational qualification requirements as on the date of the interview.

The upper age limit for both Research Officer and Research Co-ordinator posts is 40 years as on the date of the interview.

• Essential Qualification: Graduate degree in Nursing/ Midwifery/ Life Sciences/ Social Science/ Public Health.
• Experience: Preferably 1-2 years of experience in Reproductive Health, Family Planning, and Community Based research.
• Skills: Well-versed in using the internet and tablets/mobile/smartphones for data collection. Good verbal communication in Hindi.

• Essential Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Nursing/ Midwifery/ Life Sciences/ Public Health/ Social Science. Candidates with GNM/ANM qualification and relevant experience in family planning, reproductive health or hospital-based research may also be considered.
• Experience: Preferably 1-2 years of experience in Reproductive Health, Family Planning, Community Based research.
• Skills: Well-versed in using the internet and tablets/mobile/smartphones for data collection. Good knowledge of using a computer for data recording and analysis. Good verbal communication in Hindi.

Salary / Pay Scale

• Research Officer: Rs. 25,000/- per month (consolidated sum)
• Research Co-ordinator: Rs. 38,000/- per month (consolidated sum)

The mentioned salary is a consolidated sum without any other benefits.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on their performance in a walk-in interview. The interview is scheduled for 1st October 2026.
