Vacancy Details

MPKV is looking to fill positions for Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:

• Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Agril. Biotechnology / Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Biochemistry subject, along with NET conducted by UGC/ICAR/CSIR.
• Retired Professors from Government Colleges can also apply.
• M.Sc. in Agril. Biotechnology / Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Biochemistry.

Age Limit

Application Fee

Candidates need to pay a processing fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) in the form of a Demand Draft. The Demand Draft should be drawn on a nationalized bank in favour of "Comptroller, MPKV, Rahuri".

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a fixed pay of Rs. 45,000/- per month for the 11-month contract period.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will be interviewed by a Selection Committee approved by the University. Candidates must attend the interview at their own cost.

Documents Required

Candidates must produce all original documents at the time of the interview. The application should be supported by self-attested Xerox copies of required documents.

Important Instructions

• The appointment is purely on a temporary basis for 11 months or until the post is filled on a regular establishment, whichever is earlier.
• Candidates must execute an undertaking that they will not leave the assignment halfway or without prior intimation of one month.
• The appointment will automatically terminate upon the joining of a regularly appointed person.
• Any undisciplined behaviour will be viewed seriously and may lead to termination without notice.
• Selected candidates must work full-time and for the full term. They are not allowed to accept any other appointment during the contract period.
• Resignation requires one month's prior notice or payment of one month's fixed pay.
• The contract ends functionally after the tenure period. If candidates do not continue for the next semester, they must complete their work at their own cost, with no remuneration paid.
• This is a tenure appointment and can be terminated at any time without assigning any reason. Candidates will not have any right to claim permanency.
