The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) has announced recruitment for project-based positions. This notification is for filling the posts of Yoga Therapist and Junior Research Fellow on a contract basis for the TATA-funded project "Employees Mental Health and Occupational Wellbeing Programme (EMPOWER)".

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification: MSc in Yoga (English and Tamil)

Desirable Qualification: Experience in yoga therapy related to mental health. Proficiency in Kannada and Hindi.

Essential Qualification: M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work/ Psychology OR MSc in Psychology/Counselling Psychology with 1 year of work experience in mental health.

Desirable Qualification: Candidates with research experience in the field of Suicide Prevention are preferred. Proficiency in Kannada and Hindi.

Maximum Age Limit: 40 Years (Maximum) for both posts.

Salary / Emoluments

Selection Process

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will need to appear for a Walk-in-cum-Written Test. The selection will be based on performance in this test and subsequent interview. A minimum of 50% marks is required in the written examination to qualify for the next stage. For direct interviews, candidates must score at least 50% marks in the interview.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview.

How to Apply

Eligible and interested candidates should appear for the Walk-in-cum-Written Test. They must bring their resume and original testimonials along with a set of self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents.

Venue: Board Room and Exam Hall on the 4th floor of NBRC Building, NIMHANS, Bangalore – 560029.

Candidates currently working in projects at NIMHANS must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Principal Investigator.

• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Principal Investigator (if currently working in a NIMHANS project)

Important Instructions

• The appointment is on a contract basis for an initial period of 6 months, renewable every 6 months based on performance, until the end of the project.
• The Institute reserves the right to select a suitable candidate.
• Possession of the prescribed essential qualifications alone does not guarantee selection.
• No hostel accommodation will be provided for project staff.
