There are two positions available for Junior Research Fellow (JRF).
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and other criteria:
Educational Qualification: - Option 1: B.E./B.Tech. in Biotechnology/ Industrial Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Biotech. Engineering/ Bioengineering/ Biological Sciences and Bioengineering/ Biosciences and Bioengineering/ Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering/ Biochemical and Biotechnology Engineering, AND M.E./ M. Tech./ M.S.(by Research)/ M.S.* (from abroad, two-year program only) in Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Biotech Engineering/ Genetic Engineering/ Biological Sciences and Bioengineering/ Biosciences and Bioengineering/Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering/Biochemical Engineering/Environmental Engineering.
- Option 2: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Botany/ Zoology/ Bioinformatics/ Life Sciences AND M.Tech. in Biotechnology/ M.Tech in Environmental Engineering.
- Option 3: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Botany/ Zoology/ Bioinformatics/ Life Sciences.
Other Essential Criteria: - For GEN/ GEN-EWS/ OBC-NCL category: Minimum 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG levels.
- For SC/ ST/ PwD category: Minimum 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA at both UG and PG levels.
- Alternatively: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology with at least CGPA of 7.5/10 or 70% of marks for GEN/ GEN-EWS/ OBC-NCL category.
- Alternatively: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology with at least CGPA of 7.0/10 or 65% for SC/ ST/ PwD category.
Preference: Candidates with GATE/CSIR-UGC/DBT/ICMR NET qualification will be given preference.
Desired Qualifications: Prior knowledge and hands-on experience in heavy metal analysis, extraction, microbial growth techniques, and Artificial Intelligence.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit is 30 years. Upper age relaxation of up to 5 years is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically challenged candidates.
Salary / Emoluments
The selected candidate will receive Rs. 37,000/- per month for the first two years. HRA will be provided as per the institute rules.

Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview, which may be conducted ONLINE or OFFLINE. Candidates selected for an online interview are expected to have a stable internet connection.
