The National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has released a notification for the engagement of Guest Faculties. These positions are purely on a temporary basis for the academic session 2026-27.

Job Details

NSTI Kanpur is looking for Guest Faculties to conduct classes for both CITS (Craft Instructor Training Scheme) and CTS (Craftsmen Training Scheme) trainees. The engagement is on a periodic renewal basis for three months.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet specific educational qualifications and experience requirements for each trade. A minimum age of 21 years is required as of August 1, 2026.

• Electronics Mechanic (CITS): B.Voc/Degree in Electronics Engineering with CITS and 2 years post-CITS experience, OR 3 years Diploma with CITS and 5 years post-CITS experience, OR NTC/NAC in Electronics Mechanic trade with CITS and 7 years post-CITS experience.
• Dress Making (CITS): B.Voc/Degree in Costume Designing & Dress Making / Fashion Designing etc. with CITS and 2 years post-CITS experience, OR Diploma with CITS and 5 years post-CITS experience, OR NTC/NAC in relevant trade with CITS and 7 years post-CITS experience.
• CHNM (CITS): B.Voc/Degree in Computer Science / IT / Electronics Engineering or NIELIT “B” with CITS and 2 years post-CITS experience, OR Diploma with CITS and 5 years post-CITS experience, OR NTC/NAC in CHNM trade with CITS and 7 years post-CITS experience.
• CSA (CITS): B.Voc/Degree in Computer Science/IT or Post Graduate (Computer Science/Application/IT) or NIELIT “B” with CITS and 2 years post-CITS experience, OR 3 years Diploma or PGDCA with CITS and 5 years post-CITS experience, OR NTC/NAC in CSA trade with CITS and 7 years post-CITS experience.
• MMV (CITS): B.Voc/Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering with CITS and 2 years post-CITS experience, OR 3 years Diploma with 5 years post-CITS experience, OR NTC/NAC in Mechanic Motor Vehicle with 7 years post-CITS experience. A valid MCWG & LMV driving license is mandatory.
• Welder (CITS): B.Voc./Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering with CITS and 2 years post-CITS experience, OR 5 years Diploma with 2 years post-CITS experience, OR NTC/NAC in relevant trade with 7 years post-CITS experience.
• Information Technology (CITS): B.Voc/Degree in Computer Science / IT with CITS and 2 years post-CITS experience, OR Computer Science / IT / NIELIT “B” Level with 2 years post-CITS experience, OR Bachelor in Computer Science / IT or PGDCA with 5 years experience, OR NIELIT “A” Level with 5 years post-CITS experience, OR 3 Years Diploma in IT with 5 years post-CITS experience, OR NTC/ NAC in IT trade with 7 years post-CITS experience.
• Workshop Calculation & Science (CTS): B.Voc./Degree in Engineering with CITS and 1 year post-CITS experience, OR 3 years Diploma with CITS and 2 years post-CITS experience, OR NTC/ NAC in any Engineering trade with CITS and 3 years post-CITS experience.
• Engineering Drawing (CTS): B.Voc./Degree in Engineering with CITS and 1 year post-CITS experience, OR 3 years Diploma with CITS and 2 years post-CITS experience.

Note: Ex-servicemen with 15 years of service in related fields as per DGR equivalency are also eligible for some posts, with specific experience requirements.

Age Limit

The minimum age requirement for all applicants is 21 years as of August 1, 2026.

Remuneration

The remuneration for Guest Faculties will be paid on an hourly basis:

• For CITS: Rs. 250/- per hour
• For CTS: Rs. 200/- per hour

The maximum monthly remuneration is capped at Rs. 30,000/-.

Selection Process

The notification mentions a tentative schedule for a written and skill test. The exact dates will be published on the institute's website.
