Common Mistakes to Avoid
Applying for government jobs can be complex, and small errors can lead to rejection. Be mindful of these common mistakes during the OUAT Assistant recruitment process:
- Incomplete Application Form: Failing to fill all mandatory fields in the application form. Always double-check that every section is completed.
- Missing the Deadline: Submitting the application after 5:00 PM on 12th August 2026. Postal delays are not an excuse, so send it well in advance.
- Incorrect or Unattested Documents: Attaching photocopies that are not self-attested, or failing to include all required certificates like the Odia language certificate or Non-Creamy Layer certificate.
- Wrong Payment Method or Missing Fee Receipt: Paying the application fee through an unapproved method or forgetting to attach the original/signed photocopy of the fee deposit receipt.
- Not Verifying Eligibility: Applying without thoroughly checking if you meet all educational, age, and additional eligibility criteria, especially the Odia language requirement.
- Incorrect Category Selection: Choosing the wrong reservation category, which can lead to disqualification if not supported by valid certificates.
- Not Reading the Full Notification: Relying only on summaries and missing crucial details or specific instructions mentioned in the comprehensive official PDF.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) for In-service Candidates: In-service candidates failing to obtain and attach the NOC from their current employer.
