A total of 8 vacancies are available for the Guest Faculty positions across various subjects:

• Aquaculture: 02 Posts
• Aquatic Animal Health Management (AAHM): 01 Post
• Fish Processing Technology (FPT): 01 Post
• Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics (FEES): 01 Post
• English: 01 Post

Note: The number of positions may increase or decrease based on the need and approval of the competent authority.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the essential qualifications for the respective subjects. Desirable qualifications include NET/M-Phil/Ph.D. in the concerned subject, and research publications in peer-reviewed journals will be given weightage.

• Aquaculture: BFSc and MFSc in Aquaculture/ Fish Nutrition and Physiology/ Fish Genetics and Biotechnology/ Fish Nutrition and Biochemistry/Fish Nutrition and Feed Technology/ Physiology and Biochemistry/ Fish Genetics/ Fish Genetics and Breeding/ Fish Biotechnology with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA.
• Aquatic Animal Health Management (AAHM): BFSc and MFSc in Aquatic Animal Health Management/ Aquatic Animal Health/ Fish Pathology and Microbiology/ Fish Health Management with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA.
• Fish Processing Technology (FPT): BFSc and MFSc in Fish Processing Technology/ Post Harvest Technology/ Fish Quality Assurance and Management/ Post Harvest Engineering & Technology / Processing & Food Engineering with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA.
• Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics (FEES): BFSc and MFSc in Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics/ Fisheries Extension/Fisheries Economics with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA.
• English: Master's degree in English from a recognized University with 55% marks or equivalent.

Candidates should be less than 64 years of age as on 31st October, 2026.

Application Fee

Interested candidates must submit a Demand Draft of Rs. 500.00 in favour of Comptroller, OUAT, Bhubaneswar before appearing for the interview.

Salary / Pay Scale

Remuneration will be Rs. 1,200/- per class, subject to a maximum of Rs. 60,000/- per month, as applicable.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a Walk-in Interview. Candidates will be engaged as Guest Faculty for the academic year 2026-27. The engagement can be terminated at any time before the end of the academic year.

Important Instructions

• The engagement is for the academic year 2026-27 and does not confer any claim for regular appointment under OUAT.
• Guest faculty may leave the assignment by giving one-month prior notice.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• The empanelment will remain valid for one year.
