Panjab University is looking to fill one position for Guest Faculty in the Department of Forensic Science.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational and eligibility requirements:

Essential:

• Master's degree in Forensic Science or any other allied discipline with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) from a recognized Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled/Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-creamy Layer)/Ph.D. Degree holders who obtained their Master's Degree before 19 September 1991 are eligible for a 5% relaxation in marks.

• Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET.
• Alternatively, candidates must have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission regulations.
• Candidates registered for a Ph.D. program before July 11, 2009, are exempted from NET/SLET/SET if they meet specific conditions: Ph.D. awarded in regular mode, thesis evaluated by two external examiners, open viva voce conducted, published two research papers from Ph.D. work (at least one in a refereed journal), and made at least two presentations in conferences/seminars based on Ph.D. work. These conditions must be certified by the Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs).

• Ph.D. in Forensic Science or allied fields.

Salary / Pay Scale

The assignment is on a lecture basis with an honorarium of Rs. 1500/- per lecture. The maximum monthly honorarium is capped at Rs. 50,000/-.

Candidates must provide an undertaking stating they will not receive any fellowship/stipend or financial assistance from any agency while working as Guest Faculty.
