Educational Qualification	As on 01.01.2026, candidates must possess: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution Diploma/Certificate of at least a six-month course in Computer Application from a recognized institution
Nationality	A citizen of India, or A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1972 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or the East African countries of Tanzania and Zambia with the intention of permanently settling in India (subject to a certificate of eligibility from the State Government)
Character and Marital Status	Candidates must be suitable in character for appointment. Persons terminated/dismissed by Government or convicted of serious offences are ineligible. A male candidate with more than one living wife, or a female candidate married to a man with a living wife, is not eligible.
Physical Fitness	Candidates must be in good mental and physical health, supported by a medical fitness certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of a Government Hospital at the time of joining. Orthopedically Handicapped (Locomotor Disabled) candidates are exempted only to the extent of their disability.
Preferential Qualification	Candidates who have served in the Territorial Army for a minimum of two years, or who hold a 'B' certificate of the National Cadet Corps, shall be given preference at the interview stage, other things being equal.
