Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering/ Technology/ Computer Science or an Engineering Degree in Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation. A Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/ Electronics & Tele Communication/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications is also accepted.

The degree must be recognized by AICTE/UGC or the concerned regulatory body in India. Sections A & B examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) is also accepted if treated as equivalent to a Degree by the Government of India and recognized by AICTE.

If marks sheets do not show first class/division or percentage, candidates must provide a conversion formula from their university/institution. If no formula exists, an undertaking from the institution is required, and a minimum of 6 on a 10-point scale will be considered as 60%.

A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience is required in one or more of the areas mentioned in the Job Description.

Apprenticeship training (as per The Apprenticeship Act 1961) in the relevant discipline will be considered as experience, provided all other eligibility criteria are met.

Training/internship/teaching/academic/fellowship/PhD research experience will not be counted.

Age Relaxation:

• RITES regular/contract employees: 5 years
• OBC-NCL Category: 3 years
• SC/ST Category: 5 years
• J&K Domicile: 5 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years (in addition to relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL if applicable and the post is identified suitable for PwBD).

Salary / Pay Scale

The pay scale for the position is INR 40,000 - 1,40,000.

Candidates will receive a fixed pay at the minimum of the scale. In addition, they will be eligible for DA, fixed/variable allowances, Performance Related Pay, Medical facilities, HRA/Lease accommodation, and a superannuation package including PF contribution, Gratuity, and Post Retirement Medical Scheme.

Selection Process

The selection process involves a Written Test and an Interview.

1. Written Test:
   • 125 objective type questions, 1 mark each.
   • Duration: 2.5 Hours.
   • No negative marking.
   • PwBD candidates are eligible for 50 minutes compensatory time.
   • Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR/EWS and 45% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD (against reserved posts).
2. Document Scrutiny: Shortlisted candidates based on the written test will undergo document scrutiny and verification.
3. Interview:
   • Candidates will be called for an interview in a 1:6 ratio to the number of vacancies.
   • Weightage: Written Test (60%), Interview (40% - Technical & Professional proficiency 30%, Personality Communication & Competency 10%).
   • Minimum qualifying marks: 60% for UR/EWS and 50% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD (against reserved posts).

Candidates can choose to appear for the selection process in Hindi or English.

Appointment is subject to medical fitness as per RITES Rules.
