Vacancy Details

A single vacancy is available for the post of Manager / Railway Design & Operation. This position is to be filled on an immediate absorption basis from eligible officials currently working in Indian Railways on a regular or permanent cadre.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be working officials in Indian Railways. The detailed eligibility criteria are as follows:

• Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Experience:
  • Experience in Railway Operations, Train Scheduling, Rake Management, Traffic Management, or related functional areas.
  • Good understanding of operating rules, yard design, station/yard layouts, signalling, and block working.
  • Ability to prepare operation plans, assessments, and technical reports.
  • Skills in coordination and interdepartmental liaison.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Age Limit

The applicant should not be more than 55 years of age as on the last date of submission of the application.

Salary / Pay Scale

The post is in the pay scale of Rs. 50,000 - Rs. 1,60,000 per month. Candidates switching from 8th CPC CDA pay scales to 4th PRC IDA pay scales will be entitled to one fitment benefit.

Selection Process

The selection process is based on a 100-point scale, as detailed in Annexure-II of the official notification. Candidates securing 75% or above will be considered for the post based on merit.

The weightage distribution for selection includes:

• Educational Qualification: 20 points
• Vigilance/DAR: 10 points
• Performance in APARs (for 5 Years): 25 points
• Work Experience: 15 points
• Length of Service: 10 points
• Overall Suitability (Domain Knowledge, Managerial Competency): 20 points

An advance copy of the application in the prescribed format (Annexure-III) along with a detailed CV can be sent directly via email for RITES' record. However, the forwarded application is mandatory for consideration.
