The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has released a recruitment notification for the post of Section Officer. This recruitment is being done on a deputation basis for a period of 03 years.

Vacancy Details

SAI is looking to fill 20 tentative vacancies for the post of Section Officer through deputation.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Section Officer post on deputation, officers working under the Central Government, State Government, or Union Territory Administrations (including their attached or subordinate offices) must meet one of the following conditions:

• Holding an analogous post as Section Officer in Level-07 or equivalent in their parent cadre/department.
• Having at least 5 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level-06 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400) after regular appointment.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation should not exceed 56 years as on the opening date of receipt of the application.

Note: Departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion will not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly, deputationists will not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.

Salary / Pay Scale

The appointment will be in Pay Level-07 of the 7th CPC. The pay scale is as follows:

• Pay Matrix Level: Level-07 (7th CPC)
• Pay Band: Not specified, but Level-07 corresponds to a salary range of ₹44,900 - ₹1,42,400 per month as per the 7th CPC.

Officers with at least 5 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level-06 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400) are also eligible.

Selection Process

Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be called for an interview. The selection will be based on a merit list prepared by a Selection Committee constituted by the competent authority.

4. Forward the duly filled application (in two copies) along with the last five years' Confidential Reports/APARs and Vigilance Clearance Certificate issued by the competent authority, through the proper channel/cadre controlling authority.
