Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

Objective Type Test: This test will have 100 Multiple Choice Questions covering General English, General Aptitude, General Knowledge, Constitution of India provisions, Supreme Court Rules, Supreme Court Officers and Servants Rules, and Computer Knowledge. It will be conducted for 1.5 hours. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. A minimum of 50 marks is required to qualify.
  2. Typing Speed Test on Computer: Candidates who qualify the Objective Type Test will appear for this test. A minimum speed of 35 w.p.m. in English is required, with a maximum of 3% mistakes allowed. This test is for 10 minutes and carries 50 marks, with 25 marks as the qualifying score.
  3. Written Test (Descriptive): This stage includes Comprehension passage, Precis Writing, and Essay Writing in English. It will be conducted for 2 hours and carries 100 marks, with 50 marks as the qualifying score.
  4. Interview: Candidates who successfully qualify in all the preceding tests will be called for an interview. This stage carries 25 marks, with 13 marks as the qualifying score.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the Typing Speed Test and Written Test in a 1:10 ratio against the vacancies, based on their performance in the Objective Type Test. For the interview, a 1:3 ratio will be maintained.
