The Tezpur University has announced vacancies for the following posts:

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and experience requirements:

• Essential Qualification: Ph.D. degree in Design/ Interaction Design/ Product Design/Visual Communication Design. OR Bachelor's Degree or minimum 4-year Diploma in Design, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Architecture or Engineering with First class or equivalent AND Master's degree or equivalent Post Graduate Diploma in relevant disciplines with First Class or equivalent. The Master's degree or Post Graduate Diploma should be in a concerned/relevant/allied subject of Industrial Design/Visual Communication/Fine Arts/Applied Arts/Architecture/Interaction Design/New Media Studies/Design Management/Ergonomics/Human Factors Engineering/Indian Craft Studies and related fields of Engineering or Design.
• Desirable Qualification: Minimum 2 years of professional design experience in Industry/research organization/Design. Teaching/Research experience in University/ Institute of National Importance.

Salary / Pay Scale

The salary for the selected candidates will be as follows:

• Assistant Professor (on contractual basis): Rs. 80,000/- (Eighty Thousand Fixed) per month. No other allowances will be admissible.
• Guest Faculty: Rs.1,500/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs.50,000/- per month. No other allowances will be admissible.

Selection Process

1. Short-listing based on academic score as specified under UGC Regulations, 2018, in Appendix II (Table 3A).
