TGPSC Manager Engineering Recruitment 2026 Notification

The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has released a recruitment notification for the post of Manager (Engineering) in the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMSSB). This recruitment drive aims to fill 130 vacancies.

Vacancy Details

A total of 130 vacancies are available for the post of Manager (Engineering). The break-up of vacancies by community/category is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Manager (Engineering) post, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
• Character: Must have character and antecedents that qualify them for service.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the prescribed academic qualification as on the date of the notification, i.e., September 18, 2026. The result of the required educational qualification must have been declared by the concerned University by this date.

• Manager (Engineering): A Graduate in Engineering.
  • 80% of posts for Civil Engineering.
  • 15% of posts for Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5% of posts for CSE/IT/ECE Engineering.

Age Limit

The age limit for the post is as on July 1, 2026.

• Minimum Age: 18 years (Applicant should not be born after 01/07/2008).
• Maximum Age: 44 years (As per G.O.Ms.No.86, G.A. (Ser.A) Department, Dt. 18/05/2026, the upper age limit has been raised by 10 years from 34 to 44 years).

Age relaxation will be applicable for SC, ST, BC, EWS, and Differently abled candidates as per Telangana State Government rules.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay the following fees:

• Application Processing Fee: Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) for OC & BC applicants.
• Examination Fee: Rs. 120/- (Rupees One Hundred and Twenty Only).
  • All unemployed applicants are exempted from paying the examination fee.
  • All employees of any Government (Central / State / PSUs / Corporations / Other Government Sector) must pay the prescribed examination fee.

The fee must be paid online through the payment gateways. Failure to pay the fee will lead to rejection of the application.

Additionally, a fee of Rs. 500/- is required for raising objections to questions online.

Salary / Pay Scale

The selected candidates will receive a salary in the pay scale of Rs. 54,220 – Rs. 1,33,630/- per month.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on an Examination (Objective Type). The examination may be conducted in OMR based Offline mode or Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) mode. The Commission will notify the mode of examination later.

Scores may be normalized if the exam is conducted in multiple sessions.

Qualifying Marks:

• OC, Sportspersons & EWS: Not less than 40%
• BCs: Not less than 35%
• SCs, STs & PHs: Not less than 30%

Selection will be made based on merit in the examination against available vacancies.

2. If you are a new user, register through the One Time Registration (OTR) portal to get a user-ID.
3. Log in using your OTR number and other details.
4. Fill in the online application form with accurate information.

6. Pay the application processing fee and examination fee (if applicable) online.
7. Submit the application form before the last date.

Documents Required

Candidates are required to produce proof of community claimed in their application at all stages of selection, along with certificates relating to educational qualifications and local status certificates, etc. Specific documents for EWS reservation include an income certificate issued by Revenue Authorities not below the rank of Tahsildar.
