Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be Indian citizens and meet the specified educational qualification, experience, and age limit. Specific categories of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are also eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:

• Master of Commerce (M.Com) with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University.
• Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University.

Experience:

• For M.Com: Minimum of three years post-qualification experience.
• For B.Com: Minimum of five years post-qualification experience.

Experience should be in Finance and Accounts in sectors such as Ship Building, Ship Repair, Commercial Establishment, Port, Engineering Companies, Government Companies/Establishments, or Semi-Government Companies/Establishments.

Desirable: Proficiency in Computer Applications like SAP, MS Project, MS Office etc.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for the post is 30 years as on 28 October 2026. This means applicants should be born on or after 29 October 1996.

Age relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen will be as per Government of India guidelines. However, the age limit after applying all relaxations shall not exceed 40 years.

Application Fee

An application fee of ₹400/- (Non-refundable, plus bank charges extra) is applicable. This fee must be remitted online using Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking.

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) are exempted from paying the application fee, provided they produce a valid certificate.

Selection Process

The selection process comprises the following stages:

1. Objective Type Test: 50 marks. This test will have 50 Multiple Choice Questions (10 marks for General Knowledge, 40 marks for Subject Based). There is no negative marking. Minimum pass marks are 50% of total marks.
2. Power Point Presentation: 30 marks (for assessing work experience).
3. Personal Interview: 20 marks.

The total marks for the final selection is 100.

Exam Details

The Objective Type Test will be of 60 minutes duration. It will consist of 50 Multiple Choice Questions covering General Knowledge and Subject-specific topics. Each question carries one mark, and there is no negative marking.

The test will be held at UCSL Chengalpattu, UCSL Malpe, or another location decided by UCSL.
