UCSL Diploma Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Announced

Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL) has released a notification for the engagement of Diploma Apprentices. This is a one-year training program under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973. Applications are invited from eligible candidates who have completed their diploma in Engineering or Technology.

UCSL is looking to engage Diploma Apprentices in the following disciplines:

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess a Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by:

• A State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in the relevant discipline.
• A University in the relevant discipline.
• An Institution recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent.

Candidates with equivalent qualifications must submit an Equivalency Certificate from the competent authority. Without this certificate, their candidature will not be considered.

Applicants should be above 18 years old as on 14.10.2026.

Application Fee

There is no application fee for this recruitment.

Salary / Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 13,200 per month, along with a meals allowance.

Selection Process

The selection process involves certificate verification. Candidates shortlisted for verification must bring original certificates as proof of age, qualification, marks, caste, and disability (if any), along with self-attested copies. Candidature will be considered based on the strength of these original certificates. Failure to produce them will lead to rejection. Those who successfully complete certificate verification will be provisionally selected based on merit and reservation, subject to medical fitness.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted online through the NATS portal: nats.education.gov.in.

For students registered on the old Apprentice portal (portal.mhrdnats.gov.in):

1. Activate your account on the new portal using the 'forgot password' option at the student login page.
2. Log in and complete the application form, ensuring all details are correct.
3. Log in again, search for "UDUPI COCHIN SHIPYARD LIMITED" under "Apply against advertised vacancies", and click Apply.

For students not registered on the old Apprentice portal:

1. Go to the NATS portal.
2. Click 'Student', then 'Student Register'.
3. Complete the registration form to get a unique Enrolment Number.
4. Log in, search for "UDUPI COCHIN SHIPYARD LIMITED" under "Apply against advertised vacancies", and click Apply.
