UPSSSC Computer Operator & Assistant Computer Operator Recruitment 2026

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced recruitment for Computer Operator Grade-A and Assistant Computer Operator positions. This recruitment is for the Main Examination stage, following the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025). Only candidates who appeared for PET-2025 and possess a valid score card are eligible to apply.

Candidates must ensure their fee payment is reconciled by the bank by 28 September 2026. If not, they have an additional 7 days, until 05 October 2026, to ensure reconciliation. During this extended period, applicants can also make permissible corrections to their application details.

Vacancy Details

A total of 12 vacancies have been announced for the posts of Computer Operator Grade-A and Assistant Computer Operator under the Office of the Advocate General, Allahabad High Court. Both posts are currently temporary. The total number of vacancies, including category-wise distribution, may change based on government reservation policies.

Category-wise, 15 times the number of advertised vacancies will be shortlisted for the written examination.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) and possess a valid PET-2025 score card issued by the Commission. Candidates with a zero or negative PET-2025 score will not be shortlisted. Those whose PET-2025 results are marked "Under Investigation" or "Provisional" can apply provisionally, subject to the Commission's final decision.

Educational Qualification

Computer Operator Grade-A:

• A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
• A Diploma in Computer Science or a Computer Science "O" Level certificate from NIELIT (or equivalent).
• Three years of experience in computer applications.

Assistant Computer Operator:

• A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
• A Diploma in Computer Science or a Computer Science "O" Level certificate from NIELIT (or equivalent).
• Two years of experience in computer applications.

Preferential Qualification (for both posts):

• Service in the Territorial Army for at least 2 years, OR
• National Cadet Corps (NCC) "B" certificate.

Age Limit

The age limit for both Computer Operator Grade-A and Assistant Computer Operator posts is as follows:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years

The cut-off date for determining the age limit is 1 July of the calendar year in which the vacancies are advertised, which is 1 July 2026 for this notification. Age relaxation will be applicable for SC/ST and other categories as per government rules.

Application Fee

At the application stage, candidates are required to pay an online processing fee. The total fee includes the application fee and the online processing fee.

Candidates belonging to categories like Dependent of Freedom Fighter, Ex-Servicemen, Women, Persons with Disabilities, and Outstanding Sportspersons will pay the fee applicable to their original (vertical) category. Payment can be made via Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan.

A separate written examination fee will be applicable only to candidates shortlisted for the Main Examination, payable before downloading the Main Examination admit card. The exact amount of this separate fee is not specified in the notification.

Selection Process

The selection process involves a written (Main) examination. Candidates are shortlisted for this Main Examination based on their normalized PET-2025 scores. Approximately 15 times the number of advertised vacancies will be shortlisted for the written exam, including all candidates who achieve a normalized score equal to the final category-wise cut-off.
