Important Instructions for GSSSB DV

This section covers all key rules and guidelines issued by GSSSB for the certificate verification process. Candidates must read each instruction carefully to avoid disqualification or rejection at the DV stage.

1. Inclusion in the list is not a guarantee of selection. Appearing in the shortlist of 51 candidates only means you are called for document verification. The final selection/waiting list will be prepared based on merit, category-wise vacancies, and eligibility of documents submitted.
2. Discrepancies in application form vs. original documents must be resolved. If there is any mismatch between the details filled in the application form and the original documents such as caste certificate number, name spelling, or any other particulars candidates must get an affidavit prepared and bring it on the day of verification.
3. Proxy attendance is allowed in exceptional cases only. If a candidate is genuinely unable to attend due to unavoidable circumstances, they may send a guardian (parent/sibling) with a written consent letter (Sammatipatra) in the prescribed format, along with proof of inability. This must be accompanied by a sworn affidavit and passport-size photographs of both the candidate and the guardian.
4. Candidates not wishing to join must inform in writing. If any candidate does not wish to be considered for the post or does not want to attend the DV round, they must notify GSSSB in writing.
5. Carry two full sets of self-attested photocopies. Along with all original documents, candidates must prepare and bring two complete sets of self-attested photocopies of each document for submission.
6. Sports candidates get a 5% bonus. Any candidate who claimed sports quota benefits in their application form and produces a valid sports certificate at the DV stage will receive 5% of their total obtained marks as an additional bonus, which will then be used to determine their position in the merit list.
